After a surprise personal welcome by PM Narendra Modi at Palam Airport, Delhi, Russian President Vladimir Putin and PM Narendra Modi left in PM Modi’s “Fortuner Fortress” with the warmth of a great trust!

For the Indo-Russian Annual Summit 2025, Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in India for a 2-day visit. This is President Putin’s first official visit to India since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war, which began in early February 2022.

He landed in Delhi this evening, December 4, for the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit.

President Putin will have an in-depth discussion with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a variety of Indo-Russian cooperation ranging from defense, energy, nuclear reactor, healthcare strengthening Delhi Moscow economically apart from conflicts with Ukraine and other important regional and international affairs of shared interest during this state visit.

It is to be noted that December 2021 was President Putin’s last visit to India.

This bilateral meeting will include every aspect of their countries’ “privileged strategic partnership,” followed by intergovernmental talks, and will also preside over the signing of a broad “vision” document laying out a roadmap for cooperation over an extended period, officials on both sides say.

This strategic partnership would center around upgrades and spares under equal stakes, clear technology transfer, and deep-tech cooperation, along with large-scale new purchases, in line with India’s newest defense diversification policy and Make in India focus.

This time western world, especially the United States, might be watching closely how to control the drastically deteriorated relation with India.

President Putin will attend a special dinner hosted by Prime Minister Modi at his official residence, “Seva Teerth,” on Lok Kalyan Marg tonight in Delhi.

India-Russia Annual Summit 2025: President Putin’s complete engagement itinerary for his two-day visit:

• Putin is scheduled to attend a ceremonial reception held by President Droupadi Murmu on Friday at 11:00 am.

• At 11:30 AM tentatively, President Putin will visit the Rajghat to lay a wreath in honor of Mahatma Gandhi before arriving at Hyderabad House.

• The 23rd Annual India-Russia Summit will be held at Hyderabad House, where President Putin and PM Modi will participate.
At the meeting location, PM Modi will host a working lunch for President Putin and the entire Indo-Russian delegation.

• President Putin and PM Modi’s meetup would center around upgrades and spares under equal stakes, clear technology transfer, and
deep-tech cooperation along with large-scale new purchases, in line with India’s newest defense diversification policy
and the Make in India focus on Friday, 5th Dec.

• According to the PTI news agency, a Kremlin spokeswoman also alluded to the potential for talks on Russia providing India
with Su-57 fighter fighters. Additionally, President Putin is expected to brief PM Modi about the US’s continuous efforts to negotiate a
peace deal to end the Russia-Ukraine war.

• Press releases will be held at the summit venue at approximately 1:50 PM after the two heads of state’s two-hour one-on-one meetups.

• After attending a business function at around 3:40 PM, President Putin has a scheduled meetup with President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhawan.

The Russian president will then take off for Moscow around 9 pm IST on Dec 5, 2025.
