Bharatnewsupdates - Renault Duster 26.01.2026

The iconic first-generation Duster, launched way back in 2012 and discontinued in 2022, still excites the Indian car enthusiast—and now, it’s ready to be unveiled. Renault India has officially confirmed that the all-new 2nd-generation Renault Duster will be launched in India on January 26, 2026, making its return on the Indian pride day, Republic Day.

Bharatnewsupdates - Renault Duster 2026

For many car enthusiasts, this isn’t just another SUV launch—it’s the comeback of a legend that once defined rugged, affordable adventure.

Recent available images of a near-production model, along with Renault’s first official teaser, have finally given us a real imagination of what to expect. And as per sources, the buzz is? The new Duster hasn’t lost its rugged design —it has simply transformed into something sharper, bolder, and far more exciting.

A design that looks ready for the vroom, the upcoming Duster closely echoes its European design in stance and look and that’s a plus plus.

Bharatnewsupdates - Renault Duster 2026

It wears a muscular, upright design with a sculpted bonnet, chunky roof rails, squared wheel arches, and thick body cladding that instantly signals SUV stance. The front end looks more confident and sharp now, featuring LED daytime running lights integrated into the headlamp units, while the bumper has been subtly tweaked to better suit Indian road conditions.

Move to the sides, and you’ll notice strong character lines and large diamond-cut alloy wheels, likely 18-inch units, adding a premium outlook. The rear stands out with a horizontal LED light strip, giving it a distinct identity compared to the Y-shaped tail lamps seen on the global model. A dark blue paint shade and the new Renault logo complete the fresh yet anticipated gaze.

Built on a modern, localized platform. Underneath the skin, the new Duster is based on the Renault-Nissan CMF-B platform —a modern architecture that’s been heavily localized for Indian roads. This is crucial, as it allows Renault to balance solid build quality with penetration pricing. Production will take place at Renault’s Oragadam plant at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and this platform will also support future variants, including a three-row Duster-based 7-seater SUV in line for the end of the next financial year.

Cabin is where practical meets premium. Step inside, and the Duster finally enters the modern age interior. The cabin is expected to closely follow the international version, featuring a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, paired with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster.

The center console looks cleaner and more premium, likely housing an electronic gear selector. Comfort and tech won’t be compromised.

Features such as wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, multiple Type-C charging ports, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and Level-2 ADAS are expected —a big step up from the older Duster’s no-nonsense approach.

The Duster engines may offer the option of Turbo Power on the cards. While Renault hasn’t officially uncovered engine details yet, unconfirmed reports indicate the India-bound Duster will come with two turbo-petrol options.

A 1.3-liter turbo petrol could be offered at the top of the line, delivering around 156 bhp power, promising strong highway performance.

A 1.0-liter turbo petrol, likely shared with the Kiger, may serve as the entry-level option. Both manual and automatic transmissions are expected, possibly including CVT or DCT options depending on the variant.

Bharatnewsupdates - Renault Duster 2026 Exterior

The 2026 2nd-generation Duster isn’t just another SUV —it represents Renault’s renewed ambition in India’s growing car market. It will definitely throw the challenge into the heart of the mid-size SUV segment, taking on heavyweights like the Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate, Kia Seltos, Tata Curvv, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder.

If Renault gets the pricing right —and legacy suggests it might! The all-new stunning Duster could once again become a favorite among buyers who want a tough-looking SUV with real-world usability.

Come January 26, 2026, the Duster doesn’t just return. It aims to reclaim its place and position.

Mahindra & Mahindra XUV 7XO

Mahindra XUV 7XO teaser confirms: A Sharper, Tech-Rich Inspiring Gamechanger Arriving on 5 January 2026!

Mahindra & Mahindra has released the first official teaser for its facelifted XUV700 SUV, to be called the XUV 7X0 which is trending and has generated buzz on automotive social circle.

The curiosity driven slick short teaser video advert shows the views of rocking design style of key outer elements, including a amazing front grille, sleeker tail lamps, and a side profile highlighting new C-shaped LED headlamps. The teaser also unveil that the new XUV 7XO sports new 7-shaped DRLs that drape the headlamp cluster, match with trapezoidal LED lighting elements.

The above modern design innovation suggest a eye catching stylized makeover to the exterior appearance, aligning the facelifts with Mahindra’s ever evolving design concepts seen in recent launches like XEV 9e and 9S cars, The Mahindra XUV 7XO

Spy images and on road test sightings over the last few months indicate the facelift will not remodelled the body’s proportions, maintain the familiar stance and dimensions of the current XUV700.

At the rear, the design may draw cues from the newly introduced XEV 9S EV, featuring sharper LED taillight clusters and a more integrated bumper setup.

Aesthetics looking New alloy wheel designs are also expected, though specifics remain under wraps. The facelift comes at a crucial four-year mark since the original’s 2021 debut, continues to hold strong sales and lead in the competitive mid-size SUV segment against rivals like the Toyota Innova, MG Hector Plus and Tata Safari.

Inside, the cabin promises noticeable upgrades, particularly on higher trims. A triple-screen dashboard layout is on the cards, comprising a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a 12.3-inch central infotainment touchscreen, and a dedicated 12.3-inch co-driver entertainment screen, mirroring setups in Mahindra’s latest electric models.

Comfort features could include expected to add a few extra features. These may include front seats with memory function, rear ventilated seats for the 6-seater variants, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon music system, multi-colour ambient lighting and multi-zone climate control. With brown leatherette upholstery, sliding middle-row seats might also be introduced for improved practicality, like the XEV 9S.

The rest of the equipment should stay familiar, including a panoramic sunroof, wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play support, a powered driver’s seat with memory and dual-zone climate control.

As in XUV 700, Seating options are likely to stick with 5 -, 6- and 7-seater configurations, potentially including captain seats in the second row for added long drive comfort experience.

Safety features are also expected to remain unchanged. So the facelift 7XO will be offered with 7 airbags (6 standard), ESC, auto headlamps, a 360-degree camera, TPMS, ISOFIX mounts, an electronic parking brake and Level 2 ADAS features to continue enhanced safety and convenience.

The powertrain lineup should carry over unchanged, offering a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine (197 bhp, 380 Nm) front wheel drive and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel (182 bhp, up to 450 Nm torque) with the options of front wheel drive or all wheel drive, paired with manual (MT) or automatic transmissions (AT) and optional AWD on select diesel variants. No new mechanical design adaptation below the
hood are expected.

The XUV 7X0 facelift may see a feature laden reasonable price hike over the XUV 700.

Deliveries should begin soon after launch, fulfilling long-standing demand and trimming waiting periods — a key pain point with the XUV700,  sustain buyer interest amid rising competition.
